Jonathon M. Toni is a classical keyboardist, Bel Canto tenor, Gregorian scholist, choral conductor, music educator, chamber musician, and composer.

His unique and captivating pianism has led him to perform at some of the most prestigious concert venues in the Midwest. In the fall of 2015, Jonathon received a special invitation by Steinway & Son's to perform a short recital on Vladimir Horowitz’s piano during its Chicago tour at the Steinway Gallery of Northbrook, Illinois. In 2016, he had a successful audition to be apart of the prestigious Six Piano Ensemble under the direction of Glenna Sprague for the 2016-2017 concert season. Then, in June of 2023, Mr. Toni was invited by Steinway & Son's to perform a recital on Van Cliburn's Steinway CD-375 during its tour throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area at the Steinway Gallery in Plano, TX.

From 2012 to 2018, Jonathon was distinctly selected to participate in the master classes of Yulia Lipmanovich, Nelita True, Susan Tang, Steve Zivin, Charles Allen Anderson, Kay Kim, Nicole Cabell, Vadim Mazo, and Nazar Duhzyrn.

Jonathon's involvement in choral activities consists of a rich, 8+ years experience of being a music director & organist for parishes of the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago, Diocese of Joliet, Archdiocese of Detroit, Diocese of Fort Worth, and the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. In addition to his music directorship experience, Mr. Toni has 13+ years of choral experience being in the choirs of Northeastern Illinois University, Queen of All Saints Basilica (Chicago), Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church (Chicago), Saint John Cantius (Chicago), National Shrine of Christ the King (Chicago), and St. Joseph's Archdiocesan Shrine (Detroit)..Furthermore, he has performed as a Bel Canto tenor in several major oratorio's including Messiah, The Creation, The Seven Last Words of Christ, St. Matthew's Passion, Christmas Oratorio, Oratorio de Noel (Saint-Saens), Ascension Oratorio (Bach), and Christ on the Mount of Olives. And, performed in several Broadway and Operatic productions.

For the past 8 years, Jonathon's choral studies has been developing in early Western music consisting of studying the practices and compositional styles of the Western Chants, Organums, and Sacred Polyphony. He has been specializing in the polyphonic repertoire of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Josquin des Prez, Johannes Ockeghem, Claudio Casciolini, William Byrd, Orlando di Lasso, Tomas Luis de Victoria, Guillaume de Machuat, Gregorio Allegri, and Giovanni Gabrieli.
Jonathon holds an honorary B.M. in Piano Performance with Emphasis in Vocal Studies from Northeastern Illinois University and is currently a member of the American Guild of Organists, Music Teachers National Association, Church Music Association of America, American Choral Directors Association, and a certified Steinway & Son's educator. ​
